For v1 type, you write in the terminal. In the terminal, write 'func init'. Choose language then choose function type.

View - Terminal - "func init" - choose language - choose function type

For v2, you go to command palette in vscode, which can be found under "View" menu.

View - Command palette - write 'create function app'
